Indianapolis Cathedral 42, La Salle 7
La Salle’s dynamic offense contributors were silenced for the second week in a row as undefeated Indianapolis Cathedral had no issue airing the ball out against the Lancers. Cathedral quarterback Danny O’Neill had four touchdowns and was 23-38 passing for 363 yards, more than double La Salle’s 178 total offensive yards. La Salle’s Jaylen Grant had 40 rushing yards, making him the only Lancer to rush for more than 15 yards. Quarterback Mason Mattingly, who netted La Salle’s only score with a rush, had -5 yards on the ground. As a passer Mattingly was 13-24 for 111 yards and an interception. La Salle picks back up next week at St. Xavier.

Hamilton snapped a three-game losing streak and used its ground game to do it. California commit Kaleb Johnson ran 20 times for 169 yards and four touchdowns as the Big Blue raced out to a 22-point lead at the half. Elijah Givens added 106 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. JoJo Baker (36 yards) and Kerry Ware (18 yards) each found pay dirt, as well. Defensively, Hamilton quarterback Gabe Verdon, playing defensive back, had an interception. Daishawn Anderson tallied six tackles including two sacks and Wes Fox forced a fumble that was recovered by Jaylan Garrett. Oak Hills avoided a shutout on quarterback Jaxon Schreiber's rushing touchdown.

Princeton 46, Middletown 21
Princeton’s offense was humming on the road against Middletown. The Vikings needed just three quarters to score all 46 of their points on the way to a third straight win. Princeton came out and attacked immediately, scoring in the first three minutes of the game thanks to a 61-yard touchdown pass from Jaleel Engleman to Rodney Harris Jr. Harris Jr. finished the game with four catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings tallied 361 total yards and held the Middies to 216 yards of offense, forcing two turnovers.

Mason 43, Sycamore 40
Mason scored its most points in a game since 2017 and needed every one of them to outlast GMC-rival Sycamore in a shootout. In a game that featured nearly 1,000 yards of offense, Mason's Michael Molnar ran for two touchdowns and caught a pair of scores from Larson Brown, who finished 17-of-23 for 230 yards and four touchdowns. The Comets had a balanced attack behind running back Nick Sailers, who ran for 183 yards on 21 carries. Sycamore matched Mason blow for blow behind quarterback William Ingle, who ran for 348 yards and five touchdowns on 32 carries. The senior has now surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the year to top the GMC, despite missing two games. Ingle's 17 rushing touchdowns are a league high, as well.

Kings 49, West Clermont 7
Kings scored 7 first-half touchdowns to cruise past ECC-rival West Clermont in dominating fashion. The Knights were led by quarterback Will Kocher, who completed 7-of-12 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Michael Mussari. Kocher, a junior, also ran for a score. The Knights' rushing attack was led by Max Sannella, who had an 85-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Kings got a boost from all three phases, scoring on special teams (Jake Cameron's 45-yard punt return) and defense when Carson Caudell hopped on a fumble in the end zone. West Clermont avoided a shutout on Cameron Sleet's three-yard touchdown plunge with 10:07 left in regulation. Kings moves to 7-0 and has outscored its last three opponents, 122-21.

Milford handily defeated Little Miami behind strong outings from Tofa Luani and Austin Hardin. Luani scored two touchdowns in the first seven minutes of the game, both from five yards out, as he ran the ball 14 times for 86 yards Hardin threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was a 66-yard score to Cam Livingston with four minutes left in the first half to give Milford a comfortable 21-3 lead by halftime. Milford’s defense held Little Miami to 214 total yards.

Trailing by 14 in the fourth quarter, Mariemont rallied past Deer Park with 27 points in the final stanza to improve to 6-1 on the year. The Warriors' late-game surge was anchored by senior running back Max Tepe, who ran for touchdowns on back-to-back drives, then returned a fumble 17 yards for a score to put Mariemont in front. Quarterback David Dorsten, who threw for 192 yards and a score, sealed it with a two-yard touchdown run with less than three minutes remaining.

Wyoming has now won 51 consecutive Cincinnati Hills League contests and sit in the driver's seat for another conference crown at 7-0. The Cowboys were led by quarterback Quaid Hauer, who threw a pair of touchdowns to standout running back C.J. Hester, including one in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Hester did not run for multiple touchdowns for the first time all season, but his lone rushing score in the third quarter put the Cowboys up double digits. The junior has three or more total touchdowns in six of seven contests this season.

Southwest Ohio Conference
Harrison 33, Mt. Healthy 25
Harrison quarterback Mason Young ran for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to help the Wildcats push past SWOC-rival Mt. Healthy. Through the air, the senior went 8-of-17 for 143 yards and an eight-yard second-quarter touchdown to Nathan Blank. He did most of his damage on the ground, though, running for 161 yards and three scores on 34 attempts. Junior running back Gavin Moore helped Harrison's offense move efficiently with 89 yards from scrimmage on 15 touches. The Wildcats also got a pair of field goals (30 and 24 yards) from senior Grant Swope, who was also 3-for-3 on extra points. Harrison has won three of its last four to move to .500 after starting the year 0-2.

Edgewood 49, Northwest 6
Edgewood won its fourth straight game in convincing fashion, scoring 49 unanswered points to pick up a comfortable win at Northwest. Edgewood had two rushers rack up over 100 yards on the ground, as Tavionne Crosby recorded 123 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries. Jay Dailey carried just eight times but picked up 102 yards, most of which came on a 61-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Braden Sullivan had the lone catch for Edgewood, a 42-yard score from Eli Jones in the second quarter. Edgewood's offense registered 317 yards, 275 of which came from the run game. Edgewood is rolling through SWOC play so far, outscoring conference foes 101-19 through two games.

This week's Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown had an upset feel when Talawanda took a 13-0 lead in the second quarter, but the Ross offense quickly woke up, rattling off 41 unanswered points to coast to its eight consecutive SWOC victory, dating back to 2019. In a battle of two great rushing offenses, Ross was led by Aidan Brown, who ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Riley Caldwell added 49 yards and a score while Jaye Warren and Brenden Sevier each found the end zone. Talawanda jumped out to an early lead behind standout running back Deondre Bothast-Revalee, who finished with a game-high 133 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. The Braves also got rushing scores from D.J. Morris-Williams and Brayden Glass.

Kyle Guyer set the tone for Roger Bacon on the road, returning the opening kickoff 73 yards for a touchdown to start a blowout win for the visitors. It was Jah’Mal Hutsell who carried the load from there, though. Hutsell scored four touchdowns on 11 carries, amassing 136 yards on the ground. He added 34 receiving yards to account for over half of Roger Bacon’s 285 total yards. CHCA was held to 100 total yards, 89 of which came from the run game.

Jared Smith and Isaiah Conger both eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark as East Clinton won a close SBC game against Fayetteville-Perry. Smith ran for 116 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries, including two scores to put the Astros ahead 14-0 in the first quarter. The Rockets aired the ball out and responded with 14 unanswered points in the second quarter to tie the game at halftime. Levi Wiederhold had two of his four passing touchdowns in the second frame. He completed 29 of his 40 passes for 425 yards and four touchdowns. Conger put East Clinton ahead for good in the third with a three-yard touchdown run. Conger carried the ball 24 times for 124 yards and three touchdowns.

It only took one Springfield rusher to amass more offense than Springboro in a shutout of the Panthers. Springfield back Jayvin Norman had 116 rushing yards, just beating out Springboro’s 115 total yards for the night. A pair of interceptions limited Springboro’s offense on a night it had just 64 passing yards. The ground game couldn’t move the chains either as Evan Ruzzo’s 55 yards were the only Springboro rushing total to have positive yardage. No. 4 Springfield kept itself undefeated with the victory.

Last week’s quadruple overtime battle had no effect on the Covington Catholic Colonels against Boone County. Outside of a Jamarion Hocker to Skyler Sears touchdown with just 2:08 left in the game, CovCath left the Boone County offense without any answers. The 24-yard strike was the longest pass of the night for the Rebels who had just 73 passing yards. Colonels quarterback Evan Pitzer was an efficient 11-16 passing for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Pitzer also rushed for 82 yards and a score.

Cooper rebounded nicely from its four-OT loss to Covington Catholic in Week 6, pulling away from Madison Consolidated to improve to 4-2 on the year. The Jaguars were led by Eli White, who ran for 211 yards and six touchdowns on 16 attempts. With its lead trimmed to 23-19 in the second quarter, Cooper turned to the junior, who ran for four consecutive touchdowns to end the game. Brendon Tye chimed in with 64 yards and a touchdown on the ground over 12 carries. Quarterback Drew Warth was 15-of-20 for 198 yards and went 7-for-7 on extra points. Alex Turner led the Cooper receiving group with four catches for 88 yards, while Nathan Gamble had six receptions for 39 yards.

MyKel King and Ethan Jefferson led Newport to a shutout win to snap a three-game losing streak. King hauled in six receptions for 146 yards and three touchdowns, as he tallied more total yards than the entire Bellevue team. Jefferson had a solid all-around game, throwing for 176 yards and adding 73 on the ground with five total touchdowns. Andrew Rath also got some playing time at quarterback, throwing for 120 yards and a touchdown, as Newport scored in every quarter to rout Bellevue.

After Conner fell behind 13-7 in the third quarter, Castrucci scored both of his touchdowns in the second half. Castrucci put Conner in the lead for good with a 13-yard rushing touchdown in the third, and he padded that lead with a 23-yard touchdown run in the fourth. He finished with a game-high 126 rushing yards on 28 carries. Alijah Thompson added 96 rushing yards and a touchdown on 28 carries, while Conner's defense allowed 202 total yards.
