Sheriff confirms body found in river is missing Casco Twp. woman

A body that was pulled from the St. Clair River in Marine City on Sept. 25 has been positively identified as a Casco Township woman missing since May.
St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King on Friday confirmed the woman found inside the submerged vehicle as Nadine Moses, 84. A blue Ford belonging to Moses was recovered from where the St. Clair and Belle rivers meet.
It is believed Moses was unable to navigate her vehicle in poor weather conditions and went into the river, King said.
No foul play is suspected.
"We're pleased we have closure for the family," King said.
Adventures With Purpose, a search and rescue team based out of Oregon that was contacted by Moses' family, was searching the river in a previously searched location when they found the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered about 30 feet off shore of St. Clair Aggregates, located on South Belle River Avenue, King has said.
St. Clair County Sheriff Dive Team Chief Roger Randall said the vehicle appeared to have extensive damage.
