LUCKNOW: At least 12 more dengue cases were reported in the city on Sunday, taking the tally to 250 this month. Eleven cases came to community healthcare centres of Turiyaganj, Aliganj, NK Road, Chandernagar,
Silver Jubilee and Indiranagar.
All the patients were prescribed medicines and are recuperating at home, said health officials. A patient in a critical state came to the emergency ward of a private hospital in Gomtinagar. He is under observation, they added.
In the ongoing drive against mosquito menace, health department teams found larvae of Aedes aegypti at 20 houses in Husainganj, New-Haiderganj, Faizullaganj, Jankipuram, Vikasnagar, Jamnagar and Shardanagar.
At most places, larvae were found in flower pots, desert coolers and drums,” said Dr KP Tripathi, incharge of vector borne disease unit.
