"Singjamei AC to be role model among other ACs this time"

Imphal, September 26 2021: Social worker Oinam Romen has stated that Singjamei Assembly Constituency will show Manipur that a candidate can win the vote without buying votes.
Romen, who is intending to contest in the forthcoming MLA election on NPP ticket, made the statement during a meeting held today by women supporters of Singjamei Okram Leikai to show him that they endorse his candidature.
Speaking at the meeting, Romen said he acknowledged the disappointment the people of the AC felt in the previous term owing to his withdrawal from contesting election and continued that it will not happen this time.
Saying that he is overwhelmed by the continuous support the people have shown to him, he also expressed hope that the unwavering support will surely help him secure the MLA seat this time.

He further clarified that he withdrew from contesting election previous term as he was lobbying for BJP ticket and an understanding was reached to support whoever gets the party ticket.
Expressing hope that the womenfolk of the locality may remind the sitting MLA about the same, Romen also reaffirmed his pledge to always stand for the people.
Maintaining that he had not spent a single penny in preparation of the upcoming election, he said the election can not be won simply by putting up innumerable party flags but by the candidate who is in the hearts of many.
Singjamei AC will be a role model among other Assembly segments by showing that a candidate can win an election without wooing voters with money, he added.
