Between September 1 and 25, only one patient died for three days. Whereas in other months this figure sometimes reached 100 and sometimes eight thousand.

The people of the capital have been facing the corona epidemic for 18 months. During this, many people died due to infection every month, but for the first time in the month of September, the corona virus has not been fatal for 23 days.

Between September 1 and 25, only one patient died for three days. Whereas in other months this figure sometimes reached 100 and sometimes eight thousand.

According to the Delhi Health Department, so far 25,085 people have died of corona in the capital. If we talk about this month, one patient each has died on September 7, 16 and 17. It is a matter of relief that not a single infected patient has died for the last nine days. That too when 217 infected patients are admitted in hospitals.

Experts say that vaccination and recent community spread of the infection are the reasons behind the low death toll from the virus. On an average, 1.50 lakh people are getting the vaccine every day in Delhi.

Four months ago, in the second wave, the whole country including Delhi had faced the outbreak. During this time, a large part of the population came under the grip of infection, due to which antibodies have been developed against the infection in people.

Dr. Jugal Kishore of Safdarjung Hospital says that the speed of vaccination has given a deep impact on the corona virus. A large proportion of the population has been protected from receiving both doses of the vaccine.

At the same time, the effect of infection has also been mild in people at high risk above 45 years of age. At the same time, public health expert Dr. Mahendra Verma said that the virus is no longer as aggressive as before. In the coming days, there may be more improvement in the situation. Because even the single dose vaccination in Delhi is more than 70 percent.

Actually Delhi has a total population of 1.50 crores in the age group of 18 years and above. According to the Covin website, 1.17 crore of these people have taken a single dose of the vaccine. Whereas 54.12 lakh people i.e. every third adult in Delhi have completed vaccination by taking both doses.

In May this year, the maximum number of eight thousand people died due to infection. During that time the whole country was facing the second wave of Corona epidemic. According to the data, before the corona infection in the capital, the death of two patients was recorded on 30 March 2020, but if we look at the situation this year, 313 in January, 61 in February, 117 in March, 5120 in April, 8004 in May, In June 826 people died in July, 76 in the month of August and 31 in the month of August. Whereas in the month of September, three deaths have been registered so far.

If compared with the month of September last year, 917 patients died due to corona in a month. Last year, 3936 patients died in the five months from March to July, but this was followed by 508 in August, 917 in September, 1150 in October, 2663 in November and 1362 in December.
