IRCTC launches Mahalaya Pind Daan package: Check price, destinations of Pitra Paksha train

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is starting special ‘Pilgrim Special Tourist Trains’ to allow passengers travel to religious places, so that they can pay homage to their deceased elders in the ongoing month of Ashwin.
Kranti Savarkar, manager of IRCTC’s East Zone at Bhubaneswar, said, “We have launched a new train named ‘Pilgrim Special Tourist Train’ and package is called ‘Mahalaya Pind Daan Package’. This will be the first time after the second wave of Covid-19 that such facility will be provided to the passengers by the railways. The train will start from Secunderabad and run via Bhubaneswar.
The Pitra Paksha trains will run for a period of 16 days in the month of Ashwin. Passengers can book the tickets for the trains from the official IRCTC Tourism website which is www.irctctourism.com.
The IRCTC Pitra Paksha trains will run starting Secunderabad on Saturday to cover religious destinations such as Gaya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.
