Strauss to remain as Amerijet CEO after U-turn

Tim Strauss has agreed to stay with Amerijet as its chief executive after previously announcing his decision to re-sign from the role.
The u-turn happened just days after the company announced that Strauss would leave the role with Amerijet executive chairman Vic Karjian – and former chief executive – stepping into the role while a replacement is found.
He joined the company in August 2020 after heading cargo at Air Canada and Hawaiian.
Karjian said: “I am very pleased that Tim has agreed to stay at Amerijet and look forward to continuing to partner with him as we realiSe our ambitions for the company.”
Strauss added: “There were many factors that led to my decision to stay, but the most important were the great team that is presently at the company and our tremendous growth prospects.
“I look forward to continuing to support our employees and customers during this exciting period for Amerijet.”
Amerijet Board member Bob Horne added: “We are extremely happy that Tim has decided to continue as our chief excutive, and we are also very indebted to Vic for his willingness to act as interim chief executive had it been necessary.”
