Toyota Unveils 2022 Tundra TRD Pro For 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

As Toyota nears two decades of competition in the Camping World Truck Series, they unveiled their new NASCAR race truck for 2022 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With the Tundra TRD Pro, they hope to add another title to the eight drivers’ and 11 manufacturers’ championships they’ve won so far.

The 2022 NASCAR Tundra TRD Pro reflects the styling and design of Toyota’s road-going Tundra TRD Pro unveiled last week and will be in showrooms shortly. For 2022, the NASCAR Tundra gains a new aggressive look featuring TRD Pro badging, mirroring the new road-going version.

Toyota will campaign the truck beginning at Daytona International Speedway in February 2022. “The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has always been extremely important to Toyota not only in our history but our focus at our dealerships,” group manager of motorsports for Toyota Motor North America, Paul Doleshal, stated.

Including the Camry TRD Next Gen Cup Series car launched in May, Toyota will campaign three different body types for NASCAR’s top three series in 2022 season, the only OEM to do so.

Earlier this year, Ben Rhodes scored the Tundra’s 200th victory with his win at the Daytona International Speedway. “All of us at Kyle Busch Motorsports are proud to have carried the Toyota Tundra badging since we started this race team,” said Kyle Busch, team owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports.

While the 2022 Tundra TRD Pro is expected to hit Toyota showrooms later this year, the NASCAR version will make its premiere on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Daytona International Speedway.
