LUCKNOW: A resident of Indiranagar accused four persons, three brothers and their nephew, of fraud and trying to resell a piece of land, already sold to him, to someone else at a higher price.
Azubar Ali of Indiranagar, said he had purchased a land measuring 16,332 sq feet in 2007 from Budhai Ram, Sukai Ram, Munna and Kamlesh. Their father, Mahadev, had died on December 5, 2004.
One of the brothers, Kamlesh, who had signed sale deed, died recently. Azubar said after Kamlesh’s death, the sellers, in connivance with Kamlesh’s son, Sunil, secured a fake death certificate of Mahadev from LMC.
“The fake death certificate issued on January 13, 2021, showed the date of Mahadev’s death as January 16, 2008,” he said. Azubar said he applied for cancellation of the fake death certificate to ward off possibility of fraud.
“When they came to know about this, they threatened to kill me,” he alleged. SHO, Indiranagar, Ramphal Prajapati said an FIR was lodged under charges of dishonesty, forgery for purpose of cheating, and forgery of valuable security.
