Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers in consecutive deliveries of the 19th over to help Mumbai Indians (MI) cut down 15 runs off the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) score as Virata Kohli and co looked good at one stage to get a score in excess of 180 when Glenn Maxwell was having a day out.

RCB had a poor start to their innings losing Devdutt Padikkal in the second over of the innings. But a couple of good shots from skipper Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batter KS Bharat meant the Bangalore side a decent powerplay. The latter, however, took off after the first six overs hitting a couple of sixes of the deep square leg of Rahul Chahar and took some pressure off Kohli.

Bharat soon got out but Kohli had found his feet and Glenn Maxwell came out with the intent on Sunday. He took a few balls but once he got one from the middle of the bat hitting a switch hit off Krunal Pandya towards backward point, he was away.

Maxwell who stormed back into the form was severe against the MI spinners as he hit at least five switch hits against them. He kept attempting them and it kept coming off for him as it was just one of those days for him, he just kept pulling them off.

Maxwell played a fabulous innings of 56 runs and at one point was looking dangerous but Bumrah came back to dismiss him and de Villiers in two balls.
