Those who worked out every day also ended up finding one way or another to keep that healthy habit alive. Some joined online group classes or took personal online training and there were others who ended up investing in home-workout equipment. We spent some time with one such device — Flexible — from the brand Flexnest and here is our review:
Design
When it comes to the looks of the Flexbike, you get yourself a piece of solid and sturdy equipment dominated with metallic crafting that is primarily black in colour and has hints of orange here and there. Once you get it delivered, you will get various components apart from the main unit such as a seat, two pedals, a handle and a tablet stand. You may have to look at the tutorial video to learn how to assemble it.
Overall, the device looks quite well built and oftentimes unyielding so make sure you place it where you want it in your house as moving it around may be quite a chore. We also struggled a little with the seat as it easily got uncomfortable beyond a point.
Performance
This is where the technology part of the device comes into the picture. In order to use the Flexbike, you will have to download the Flexnest app that is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Once you download it, you will be required to input your details and grant access to track your health parameters. The app is quite neat, but it is far from perfect as we found a few bugs here and there.
Pairing the Flexbike with your handset/tablet is simple as it asks you to start riding the bike and then it shows up on the Flexnest app. Within the app, you find multiple options such as quick rides that are ideal for beginners, virtual rides that are landscapes of different places around the world — including Alpine mountains, Corsica, French Vineyards and more — to make the rider feel that they are riding a bike there perhaps.
The app also comes pre-loaded with trainer classes segregated into ‘beginner’, ‘intermediate’ and ‘advanced’ to take care of the needs of different kinds of users.
Verdict
Priced at Rs 29,999, the Flexible from Flexnest is certainly not a cheap device. But it is a piece of feature-packed equipment that will take care of your needs if you are looking to ride your way into being fitter.
