LEXINGTON - Kentucky football's Saturday game versus Florida will be a matchup of ranked teams.

The Wildcats' 16-10 win at South Carolina to move to 4-0 on the season was enough to move Kentucky into the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll Sunday. The coaches ranked UK No. 23 nationally. Florida (3-1, 1-1) is ranked No. 9 after a win over Tennessee.

Kentucky remained in the "also receiving votes" category of the Associated Press top 25.

The ranking marks the first time Kentucky has been included in the Coaches Poll since the 2020 preseason ranking. It is the first time Kentucky has been ranked after playing at least one game since the 2018 postseason poll.

Kentucky football:Wildcats are 4-0, but turnovers loom large ahead of Florida matchup

The matchup with Florida represents Kentucky's first test versus a ranked team this season. The Wildcats were 2-4 against ranked teams last season with wins at Tennessee and versus NC State in the Gator Bowl.
