Maharashtra To Open Theatres From October 22

Amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the Maharashtra government has decided to reopen all the theatres in the State after October 22, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's office said, on Saturday.  

Meanwhile, all the COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, as movie theatres reopen, is in the works, and rules will be released soon. 

The official handle of CMO Maharashtra tweeted, "Theatres and auditoriums in Maharashtra will open after 22nd October 2021 while observing all COVID safety protocols. SOP is in the works and will be declared soon."

 

 

Talking about the ongoing pandemic, Maharashtra is one of the hotspots for the disease in the entire country. 

Meanwhile, a total of 41 per cent of the population in Mumbai is fully vaccinated and 88 per cent of the people have received their first dose. 

Maharashtra has registered more than 65.37 lakh COVID-19 cases so far, and a total of 3,286 fresh cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
