Dillian Whyte proved his heavyweight power as he smashed a punch machine challenge on Saturday.
After appearing on DAZN’s preview show ahead of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk, the top contender stepped up to take on the famous old arcade machine.
Despite scoring numerous knockouts with his famous left hook, Whyte opted to use his right.
It turned out to be a good choice.
Whyte thundered through the punch ball and his score instantly rocketed.
It ended up on a gigantic 994 – just five off the maximum total.
Earlier this month, Eddie Hearn pulled off an impressive upset by beating former WBC cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew on the machine.
The promoter showed that he packs a punch by scoring a greater number with his straight right than Bellew managed with his left hook.
Hearn hammered the punch ball with a crunching shot and scored a stunning 935 points.
Bellew’s score came up at 926 points.
They both fell far short of Whyte’s stunning total.
