Maserati is all set to take the wraps off its entry-level SUV, the Grecale, on November 16, 2021. The upcoming luxury SUV, which will be unveiled in the beautiful city of Milan, will slot below the Levante. Maserati had even dropped a teaser before, showing us a sneak peek of the SUV’s design.
While the finer design details are yet to be seen, the Grecale’s overall silhouette is more rounded, typical of a luxury SUV. The roofline neatly slopes down to the tailgate, giving the SUV a sportier stance. Also, if earlier teasers are anything to go by, the SUV would feature we could spot the circular headlamps.
Maserati is yet to give us a glimpse of the Grecale’s interior, but it should be an immaculately built cabin with high quality materials. It should also boast the latest gizmos like a digital driver’s display, a large touchscreen infotainment system, Bowers and Wilkins sound system, ventilated and heated front seats, steering wheel heating, and a sunroof.
Maserati is also yet to tell us what will be powering the Grecale. But reports suggest it could come with a 2-litre mild hybrid and an optional 3-litre twin-turbo V6. A performance-oriented Trofeo variant and an all-electric version (as per Maseratis plans to electrify its cars) could be on the cards as well.
The Grecale could be offered in India soon after its debut as Maserati imports its models into the country. It would be an alternative to models like the Porsche Macan, BMW X4, and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
