Chandigarh, 24th September 2021: Anaemia camp was held at HWC Maulijagran today to create awareness amongst beneficiaries during the on-going Poshan MAAH. The camp was organized in coordination with teams from Child Heath Division, RCH-II UT Chandigarh, Dietetics department and staff of HWC MAULIJAGRAN from Department of Paediatrics GMSH-16 examined the children visiting the camp.The camp focused on children under five years of age wherein they were tested for anaemia.
During the camp, herbal plants and seasonal fruits were distributed to the beneficiaries.76 children were examined in the camp and all anaemic Children were provided treatment and their mothers were counselled regarding healthy diet, maintaining hygiene etc. The children were given Iron syrup and deworming was also done.The anaemic children will be followed up regularly by Health department. All COVID protocols were followed during the activity.
