Youri Babakhanian, Armenian Ambassador in his address emphasized the crucial days of gaining independence, "Today our state faces challenges, the key to overcoming which is exclusively in our hands.

The Embassy of Armenia in India, on Tuesday, (September 21) conducted events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia. 

Youri Babakhanian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, in India, during his address, said, "We celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia. Congratulating all of us on this remarkable occasion, I first of all bow my head to the heroes who made the thirty-year history of Independence. Over the past 30 years, we have faced many challenges: wars, blockades, energy, economic crisis, and so on. However, I am convinced that these difficulties cannot break the Armenian people, who have a history of 5000 years and have gone through much greater trials."

Youri Babakhanian in his address emphasized the crucial days of gaining independence, "Today our state faces challenges, the key to overcoming which is exclusively in our hands. Today, every Armenian in any corner of the world must contribute to the strengthening and development of the homeland," he added. 

History will not forgive us if we do not take full advantage of the unique opportunity given to us to create a modern democratic state. We are not afraid of challenges, we are ready to face them, mentioned Babakhanian. 

"Our dream is to build a democratic, peace-loving state, but this does not mean that we can not protect our Homeland և future from external encroachments. I am convinced that thanks to the collective potential of our people, through cooperation with our real allies, we will overcome all the challenges imposed on us, build a strong, just, prosperous country for present and future generations. Long live the independent Republic of Armenia," he said.
