Imphal, September 22 2021: 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR/ IGAR (East) organised 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh: Band Display' in honour of the veterans from Tamenglong district.

According to PIB (DW), Tamenglong battalion Commandant, in his address, highlighted the gist of the war and various activities being undertaken by the battalion for the society.

The mesmerising military band martial tunes filled the air with nationalist feelings while the state song of Manipur by battalion jazz band got the biggest applause from the audience.

The commandant congratulated them for their contribution to the society and wished them success in their endeavours.

He also highlighted the pivotal role ex-servicemen play in shaping the society.

The battalion also felicitated the veterans and veer Naris as a part of the event which was held with strict adherence to all Covid protocols and CAB, added the PIB (DW) in a release.
