The witty host captioned the post: 'In a happy coincidence, I was just working on a title for my book when this came through.

'Thank you Twitter stranger, by the time I chuck in some caps, asterisks and exclamation marks this title is perfect...'

While it's unclear whether or not Larry was joking - or what book he is currently writing - fans were in hysterics over his revelation, with one writing: 'Hahahahahhaahahaha. Maybe they can write the foreword?'

'So eloquent, so loquacious, so expressive,' one laughed, while a third added: 'Ha ha, good plan. Some people are just so helpful. Nice of you to thank them!'

'Really! good on you Larry for finding the funny side of things,' another wrote, while one fan chimed in: 'Brilliant title!'

Larry is often quite the comedian on Instagram, and was recently trolled by a whole host of his celebrity pals over a smug bathroom photo where he wore nothing but an elaborately patterned robe.

He sent fans wild as he sipped on whiskey under his shower and joked he'd installed a 'bar' during lockdown.

The photo was so extravagant even his own daughter thought it was a bit much.

'Because I’m getting old the doctor suggested I install a bar in the shower so I can get in and out safely. BTW: that’s [wife] Sylvie’s robe, you DO NOT want to see mine,' Larry wrote in the caption.

He didn't expect the post to garner such a reaction, with Channel 10 star Grant Denyer commenting: 'Liberace wants his robe back. Minus the stains.'

'We should shower together. I never thought I’d say that… and mean it,' radio host Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli added.

Sunrise newsreader Edwina Bartholomew wrote: 'Is this a bathroom or a grotto?'

Larry's daughter Tia Emdur couldn't resist poking fun as she commented: 'Dad, please, I can’t keep defending you like this.

'But yes, thank you, we’re all glad you’re showering again.'
