Sopranos fans will get a closer look at the rise of their favorite mob boss in the highly-anticipated The Many Saints of Newark, which hits theaters on October 1 and is set nearly 40 years before the HBO series aired. The film reimagines the iconic mob group in their younger years against the backdrop of the 1967 race riots in Newark, New Jersey.
Michael Gandolfini, 22, plays the role that put his late father James Gandolfini on the map, Tony Soprano, in the upcoming movie.
