Eddie Hall revealed he offered to fight Hafthor Bjornsson with ‘one-arm’ as The Beast reacted to his arch-rival’s latest fight.
The two former World’s Strongest Men were due to clash in the ring last weekend, but Hall detached his bicep eight weeks ago.
This caused the fight to be postponed and could take place in March 2022.
Thor decided to take on arm-wrestling superstar Devon Larratt instead, and stopped him in the first round.
Hall posted a video on YouTube of himself watching the fight and giving his reaction.
In his intro before the action stated, The Beast said: “It’s easy to talk smack from the sidelines. Of course, I should have been there fighting Thor at the weekend.
“I detached my bicep eight weeks ago and I’m already back in the ring and sparring. I absolutely put it plain and simple, black and white, to the promoters I would still fight Thor with one arm.
“I said it on more than one occasion. I understand why I wasn’t allowed to.
“Obviously if I’d have fought and re-detached my bicep mid-fight it would have been a disaster.
“The willingness was there to do the fight one armed. I believe I can beat Thor with one arm.
“The last two fights Thor has had, in my opinion, the fighters were told to hold off and not go hard on him.
“You can see it. They are tickling him up and whenever the shots get lined-up they back away.
“Those fights for me are pointless. You might as well have had a tickle in his home gym back home and done some sparring.
“That was no benefit. Unless you are in the ring with someone trying to take your head off, there’s no experience to be gained there. It was a bit pointless in my eyes.”
On Larratt, Hall added: “I must say big props to Devon Larratt. Five weeks’ notice for this fight. He’s getting on a bit, but he’s a world arm-wrestling champion.
“Phenomenal champion. I’ve met him in person, trained with him and he’s a super nice guy.
“Massive balls of steel taking this fight on.
“Five weeks of training versus 18 months training, it’s a hell of a lot.”
Hall sat there and commentated on the fight, which ended with 20 seconds left in the first round.
It is safe to sat that he was not impressed with what he saw and thinks he will have no problem when they eventually do clash.
Hall added: “Not impressed with that. Thor is doing all the standard stuff, in the centre of the ring, moving right, which is what you do against an orthodox fighter.
“That sloppy jab won’t wash with me. He better rethink his strategy on that as it will cause him a load of problems.
“He’s gauging distance, but he’s also helping the other fighter gauge distance. It’s very silly to be doing that.
“I saw a lot of shots there I could have taken, a lot of opportunities.
“My message to Thor is ‘keep doing what you’re doing, because it is absolute dogs***’. I can promise you, I absolutely believe 100 per cent I’m going to win our fight when we meet.
“I don’t know what to say really, he’s just terrible. 18 months training and you didn’t do much better than a guy with five weeks’ training.”
