From being rapped into the squared circle by Stormzy to walking out to classic anthems, Joshua’s past ring walks have been very special.

AJ, who has been out of the ring since beating Kubrat Pulev in December, last came out to Survivor’s Burning Heart.

The tune is one that many boxing fans have a special fondness for considering it’s iconic use in Rocky IV.

Yet the British star will make his walk against Usyk with a track called Ambition from rising hip-hop star Maulo – which is produced by Joshua’s sponsors Under Armour.

But how does this latest song compare to the one’s in AJ’s past? talkSPORT.com takes a look…

FELA KUTI

Joshua paid homage to his Nigerian roots ahead of his redemption fight against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia in December 2019.

The 31-year-old chose a tune by Nigerian multi-instrumentalist Fela Kuti for his entrance song at the Diriyah Arena before he reclaimed his world titles.

The song was called Water No Get Enemy by the late Fela, a pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre and a human rights activist.

Watford-born Joshua’s mother is Nigerian, while his father is of Nigerian and Irish ancestry.

BURNA BOY

Joshua used ‘Ye’ by Burna Boy as his entrance theme for that loss to Ruiz Jr at the world’s most famous Madison Square Garden.

Burna Boy is from Nigeria, a country that AJ has close links to and often visits.

NINES

In Joshua’s round seven KO against Alexander Povetkin in September 2018, the Brit had UK recording artist Nines rap his tune ‘I See You Shining’.

The rapper performed as Joshua appeared in front of the Wembley crowd before beginning his walk to the ring.

SEVEN NATIONS ARMY

Joshua’s biggest career win came against Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017 and the Watford-born fighter walked to the ring to the sound of The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’.

It has now become an famous tune for AJ with fans adapting their own version of ‘Oh Anthony Joshua’.

GIGGS

On the night Joshua made the first defence of his IBF heavyweight title by beating Dominic Breazeale in June 2016, he walked to the ring with Giggs’ ‘Talking da Hardest’.

Giggs did not perform the British Grime classic live but Joshua made the ringwalk with the song playing all the way through.

STORMZY

Popular rapper Stormzy accompanied Joshua to the ring before he claimed his key win over Brit rival Dillian Whyte at The O2 Arena in December 2015.

Stormzy preformed a variation of ‘Big For Your Boots’ live to the sellout crowd.

BOUND FOR DA RELOAD

In 2014, AJ walked to the ring against Michael Sprott to the sound of Oxide & Neutrino’s ‘Bound 4 da Reload’.

The ringwalk lasted longer than the fight as AJ knocked out his fellow Brit in the first round.
