6.5-magnitude quake hits west coast of Nicaragua: USGS
Managua/UNI/Xinhua) An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 78 km southwest of Jiquilillo, Nicaragua at 09:57:08 GMT on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicentre, with a depth of 30.74 km, was initially determined to be at 12.1598 degrees north latitude and 87.8542 degrees west longitude.
No tsunami warning was issued by the country's authorities and there were no immediate reports of damages.
