Arsenal v AFC Wimbledon: What has been said?

Arsenal boss Arteta said: “I hope that we can expect goals from our side, but it’s true that [Wimbledon have had] really open games with high scores.

“They are really direct, physical but at the same time, they have a big goal threat in many situations, so it will be a tough opponent.

“[We must] focus. Focus, demand the highest standards, prepare the same way or even better.

“Make the players understand that if somebody wants to play and is seeking an opportunity, it’s great that you’re doing the right things in training and your behaviour is good, but this is the opportunity to show us as well that you deserve to play and make it difficult for us in team selection.

“Those games are like any other game, an opportunity for anybody to show that he deserves to be in the team.”

AFC Wimbledon boss Robinson said: “They’re all excited. All they keep saying to me is: ‘Are we going to go and just do our normal thing?’ Which is what they want to do. They want to pit themselves up against some of the best and see where they are, which is exactly the mindset I want from them.

“Everyone is looking forward to it. It’s going to be brilliant. Every week it feels like there is something new and something to look forward to. This is going to be something special for everyone, and I am really proud and really looking forward to it. We just go into the game wanting to put in a real high-level performance and do ourselves and the fans proud.”
