After the video of Indore bangle seller’s beating, now a similar video is coming out from Rajasthan’s Ajmer as well. The incident happened in Chandra Vardai Nagar in Rajasthan’s Ajmer.
In the 2.20 minute video, a Muslim beggar and his two children were allegedly beaten up by a mob in Ajmer. The man beating up and bullying a Muslim beggar were told them to go to Pakistan. The man, who kicked on the head of beggar’s son, has been identified on Facebook as Lalit Sharma.
However, the video has not verified yet.
Apart from the person who was beaten up Muslim beggar, there were many others involved in the incident. Some of them, whose voice is heard in the background, were recording the video of the incident.
After the video went viral, Ajmer police had taken five people into preventive custody under section 151 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). All five people were later released on bail. No FIR has been lodged till now as the police officials said that they are unable to trace the victim yet.
The Ajmer Police told The Indian Express that this incident happened last week. Constable Gajendra of Ramganj police station said that those taken into custody include 40-year-old Lalit Sharma, 32-year-old Surendra, 27-year-old Tejpal, 32-year-old Rohit Sharma and 31-year-old Shailendra Tank. However, the Circle Officer said- If the victim comes forward and gives a complaint, then an FIR will be registered under the relevant sections.
The incident comes a day after Indore incident where a bangle seller was badly beaten up by a mob.
After the incident, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra had said that the Muslim bangle seller was selling the bangles with having two fake Aadhar Cards with Muslim man. He also alleged that the man used a Hindu name to sell bangles in the Hindu locality.
