    Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

    The NSE Nifty index closed 128.15 points up at 16624.6

    NEW DELHI: Tata Steel (Rs. 2464.67 crore), Bajaj Finserv (Rs. 2058.11 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs. 1816.32 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs. 1424.72 crore), Infosys (Rs. 1315.19 crore), RIL (Rs. 1190.51 crore), Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd. (Rs. 1120.31 crore), Tata Motors (Rs. 1035.20 crore), MindTree (Rs. 1024.91 crore) and Vedanta (Rs. 930.05 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

    The NSE Nifty index ended the session 128.15 points up at 16624.6, while BSE Sensex rose 403.19 points to 55958.98.

    In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (up 7.79 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 4.06 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 3.44 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 3.39 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 3.38 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

    On the other hand, Britannia Industries Ltd. (down 1.40 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 1.20 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (down 1.13 per cent), Infosys Ltd. (down 1.03 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.02 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
