WhatsApp has partnered with Ministry of Health and MyGov to allows users to locate their nearest vaccination centre and book their vaccine-appointment. Users will now be able to use the chatbot by simply sending ‘Book Slot’ to the WhatsApp number +91 9013151515.

Earlier this month, on the 5th of August 2021, MyGov and WhatsApp also introduced the ability for users to download vaccine certificates from the chatbot and so far, over 32 lakh certificates have been downloaded by users across the country, the company said in a statement.

How to book Vaccine Slot on WhatsApp

- Users need to save MyGov Corona Helpdesk 9013151515 as a contact

- Search the contact in WhatsApp and send 'Book Slot' to this number

- This will generate a 6-digit one-time password on the respective mobile phone number.

- Enter the OTP

- Users then choose a preferred date and location, based on the pincode and vaccine type..

- Lastly, you will get confirmation of slot and centre.
