    Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.24%

    Synopsis

    The Nifty IT index closed 0.24 per cent down at 33838.4.

    RSI has turned north from the 60 level, confirming bullishness.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

    Shares of Oracle Financial Services Software (up 3.88 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 3.34 per cent) and Wipro (up 0.75 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

    On the other hand, MPhasis (down 2.37 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (down 1.4 per cent), Infosys (down 1.03 per cent), Coforge (down 0.91 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.88 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

    The Nifty IT index closed 0.24 per cent down at 33838.4.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 128.15 points at 16624.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 403.19 points at 55958.98.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NALCO, SAIL and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of TD Power Sys, Kabra Extrusion, Linde India, BLS Int. Services and S & S Power Switch hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vertoz Advertising, Grand Foundry, Nxtdigital, Marine Electricals and Pritika Auto Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows.
