Rahul bid to broker peace in Chattisgarh unit

NEW DELHI: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and state minister T S Singh Deo will meet Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, amid reports of rift between the two leaders. While Congress has a large majority in the state where it is in power, the tussle between its senior most members has surfaced in recent months.
Singh Deo believes that it is his turn to be the CM as there was an informal agreement about a split term between him and Baghel when the party stormed to power in December 2018. However, Congress state incharge P L Punia as well as Baghel have repeatedly denied any such arrangement.
