Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.83%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects (up 4.72 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 4.58 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India (up 4.15 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 3.3 per cent) and DLF (up 2.8 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Godrej Properties (down 1.14 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.83 per cent up at 376.45.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 128.15 points at 16624.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 403.19 points at 55958.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NALCO, SAIL and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of TD Power Sys, Kabra Extrusion, Linde India, BLS Int. Services and S & S Power Switch hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vertoz Advertising, Grand Foundry, Nxtdigital, Marine Electricals and Pritika Auto Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows.
