Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.03% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:35AM (IST) on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Phoenix Mills (up 3.27 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 3.1 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 1.73 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 1.27 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (up 0.98 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sunteck Realty (down 1.23 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.03 per cent at 373.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.65 points at 16539.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 138.66 points at 55694.45.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, NALCO, Zomato Ltd., SAIL and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of BLS Int. Services, S & S Power Switch, Meghmani Finechem Ltd., Andhra Cements and Uttam Galva Stl hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while KPI Global Infra, Nxtdigital, Madhav Copper, Marine Electricals and Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
