NEW DELHI: Tata Steel (Rs. 3132.14 crore), TCS (Rs. 1361.75 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs. 1175.86 crore), Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 1167.09 crore), Cadila Healthcare (Rs. 1150.04 crore), MindTree (Rs. 1108.02 crore), HCL Tech (Rs. 1087.63 crore), SBI (Rs. 1084.81 crore), Infosys (Rs. 1077.92 crore) and SAIL (Rs. 1025.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 45.95 points up at 16496.45, while BSE Sensex rose 226.47 points to 55555.79.

In the Nifty index, HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 4.09 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (up 2.30 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 2.19 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (up 1.96 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 1.46 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 2.96 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 2.75 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.51 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 2.22 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 2.22 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
