BJP strongly believe in democratic system: Patel

Patna, Aug 23 (UNI) BJP spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel today said that the opposition parties should not have any grudge of being ignored as Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and listened to the 11 members delegation from Bihar during the day on the issue of conducting the caste-based census.
Reacting to the delegation meeting of the PM, Mr Patel said here that before deciding on any major issue, Mr Modi gives ample opportunity to the opposition as well as the ruling partners to share their viewpoints. He said that the stand of the Prime Minister indicates that BJP including Mr Modi himself strongly believe in the democratic system.
Recalling the days of emergency imposed by the Congress, Mr Patel said it was Congress that had seized the democratic rights of the people by promulgating emergency and maintained that the Congress should now realise that it was impossible to rule for a long period by seizing the rights of the common people.
He said that Congress was still misleading the people.
