The Young and the Restless star Melissa Claire Egan and husband Matt Katrosar welcomed her first child, a son named Caden Robert, on Saturday.
After giving birth to her precious baby boy, the 39-year-old soap opera star posted a photo from the hospital with Katrosar and their newborn on her Instagram.
'We are overjoyed to welcome Caden Robert Katrosar into the world!' the actress captioned the heartwarming photo.

She continued: 'Everyone is healthy and doing well, we’re so grateful for all the love and well wishes along our journey to get here.'

In a statement to the outlet, Egan and Katrosar, who wed in July 2014, gave a 'huge thanks to all the amazing doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai who have taken such good care of us.'
'Although this is my first child in real life, I've had very dramatic on-screen births on The Young and the Restless,' she recalled.
While portraying Chelsea Lawson on the CBS' long-running daytime drama since 2011, Egan pointed out her character went into labor 'falling through a lake' and in a wedding dress as she was about to tie the knot.
'We are overjoyed to welcome Caden Robert Katrosar into the world!' the actress captioned the heartwarming photo
'So this was a breeze compared to that', she mused.
In April when revealing her pregnancy, Egan opened up about suffering two miscarriages in the past.
'As happy as we are, the journey to get here has been filled with lots of tears, stress, sadness, helplessness, hopelessness, and 2 miscarriages,' she wrote in her announcement via Instagram.

She also shared an encouraging message to those struggling to conceive.
'To anyone going through this process or any kind of fertility issues, I feel you, I see you, you're not alone. I wish I could jump through this phone and give you a big hug,' Egan wrote.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill alum urged others not to 'give up hope' and 'keep trusting and have faith.'
