Odisha CPET 2021: Common PG Entrance Test to begin today

BHUBANESWAR: The 12-day-long Common PG Entrance Test (CPET-2021) will start from Monday. The entrance test is required for admission into PG courses in state public universities and autonomous colleges. It will continue till September 3.


Students will have to answer objective type questions of 70 marks in the one-and-half-hour exam. There will be no negative marking. As many as 26 exam centres have been opened across the state to accommodate candidates near their native places.

The test will be held in three shifts every day. The first shift will be between 10am and 11.30am, the second between 12.30pm and 2pm and the third from 3pm to 4.30pm. More than 52,000 will appear for exams in at least one subject. One student can appear in more than one subject.

On the first day, exams will be held in anthropology (both arts and science), geography, marine science (oceanography) and MBA courses. Tests for physics, LLM, electronics and telecommunication and commerce will be conducted the next day.
