DIBRUGARH: The Yuvraj Singh Foundation on Saturday donated 50 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, the first instalment, to set up a 100-bed pediatric ICU facility at the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH). The Yuvraj Singh Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by leading Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh that works extensively in the healthcare sector.
Principal-cum-chief superintendent of AMCH Dr Sanjeeb Kakati on Sunday said, "We thank the Yuvraj Singh Foundation, which deals with children suffering from cancer, for this noble gesture. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it has taken an initiative to donate 100-bed ICUs for children across India. We have signed an MoU with them for setting up a 100-bed pediatric ICU unit at AMCH. On Saturday, they handed over 50 ICU beds."
