Thane cop held for minor’s molestation

KALYAN: A Thane constable attached to Ramanagar police station in Dombivli was arrested for molesting a minor girl. He was on Saturday suspended. A case under section 354 (molestation) and charges related to POCSO Act was registered on Thursday after the mother alleged the constable molested her daughter on the building staircase.
Police later registered an FIR and arrested him. Senior officials said he was produced before Kalyan sessions court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
