Woman killed, buried; husband on the run

Mandya: A husband allegedly killed his wife and buried her in their neighbour’s land in Amrutrswharanahalli village of Malavalli taluk on Friday.
Accused Shivaraju killed his wife Rani, 30, and buried her in the neighbour's land behind their house. Satish, the neighbour, grew suspicious when he saw a trail of blood in his backyard. He alerted police who dug up the the area and found the body of Rani. The body has been sent for postmortem.
Shivaraju is on the run. Villagers say that when they last saw him, his clothes were splattered with blood. A case has been registered in Malavalli rural police station.
