Imphal, August 21 2021:
Acknowledging the immense contributions of the ASHA workers amid the tough times of COVID-19, monetary aid was extended to ASHA workers by member of National Executive Committee (SC), BJP Head Quarter, New Delhi, Khwairakpam Robin.
He also distributed face masks, face shield and hand sanitizers to the ASHA workers in a simple programme held at his residence at Sekmai.
Speaking on the occasion, Kh Robin said that the State Government should appreciate the services rendered by the ASHA workers who are helping the people selflessly amid this difficult time of the dreaded pandemic.
He continued that the ASHA workers are performing their duties with utmost dedication with the meagre honorariums that they receive.
Instead of acknowledging the contributions of ASHA workers, he stated that the State Government has not even provided the daily incentives of Rs 150 promised to ASHA workers which is really unfortunate.
In view of the selfless service provided by ASHA workers during the trying times of COVID-19, he urged the Government to provide the incentives as promised.
