In fact, since 21/08/2021 the portal itself is not available,” the Income Tax department said on Twitter on Sunday.
Infosys had in June said that it would resolve all issues within a few weeks time, and again reiterated its commitment to fixing issues in a timely manner during its 40th annual general meeting held on June 19.
“The Income Tax India portal continues to be under emergency maintenance. We will post an update once the portal is available again for taxpayers. We regret the inconvenience,” Infosys said from its Infosys India Business handle on Twitter on Sunday.
Infosys did not respond to ET’s queries until the publishing of this story.
Finance Minister Sitharaman had soon after the portal went live tweeted on June 8 to the company and its chairman Nandan Nilekani pointing to complaints from several users on her Twitter timeline regarding glitches in the e-filing portal.
Nilekani had responded to the minister stating that the company had observed some day-one technical issues and had regretted the inconvenience caused to the taxpayers.
