Ashok Leyland - a flagship of the Hinduja Group - has witnessed a growth rate of 353% in its revenue in Q1 FY’22.
In Q1 FY’22, the
revenue of the company stood at Rs 29.51 billion. The income of Leyland’s
domestic MHCV grew by 1,041%. The company’s domestic LCV volumes for the same
quarter stood at 8,690 nos. which is higher than Q1 FY’21 by 224%. In the same
manner, the export volumes (MHCV & LCV) for Q1 FY’22 stood at 1,437 nos.
The company has
also experienced that there is a strong demand for the AVTR range which is the
country’s first modular truck platform. The demand is expected to grow further
because of the increased economic activity. Bada Dost, which has been recently
launched in the LCV segment of the company has also been accepted and liked by
the customers. It is also expected that ICV and LCV truck volumes will be
supported by the last-mile connectivity demand propelled by e-commerce. The
other segments of the company like power solutions, defence, and after-market are
going to contribute strongly to the growth of the company.
The company is
also focusing on vaccination and is following all the safety protocols
considering the need of the hour. 76% of the staff is vaccinated and measures
are being taken to expend CSR spends on community vaccination drives.
