Covid-19: 81 new cases detected in Nashik

Nashik, Aug 20 (UNI) As many as 81 fresh Covid-19 patients and one death were reported in a single day today, taking the district's tally of such cases to 4,04,486 and the toll to 8,558, respectively.
On the other hand, 108 patients were discharged during the day across the district, taking overall count of recoveries to 3,94,934.
There are now 994 active cases in the district, an official report said.
In a related development, the district received 1,03,700 vaccines today, of which 28,000 will be given to the Nashik Municipal Corporation.
In another development, of total 9,48,032 Covid-19 patients found in Nashik division till date, 9,21,847 have overcome infection, while 19,170 patients have died in the division to date.
The recovery rate and the mortality rate in the division was at 97.23 per cent and 2.02 per cent, respectively.
There are now 6,958 active cases in the division, informed Dr P D Gandal, deputy director of Health, Nashik Circle Office.
