Aug. 21—MIDDLEBURG — A 19-year-old Mount Pleasant Mills man is charged with breaking into a home and attempting to rape a juvenile while she slept.

Jay P. Auker told police he was seeking "sexual pleasure" when he broke into the Mount Pleasant Mills home on the evening of Aug. 12 and approached the sleeping girl in her bed, court records filed by state police at Selinsgrove said.

The girl awoke when Auker touched her and she yelled out when he got her on the floor and tried to have sex with her, court records said.

The noise alerted the girl's father who came into the room and removed Auker from on top of her, court records said.

Auker posted $75,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge Lori R. Hackenberg on charges of felony attempted rape and burglary, and misdemeanor indecent assault and corruption of minors.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 26.
