Mamelodi Sundowns kick-started their DStv Premiership title defence with a 1-0 victory at Loftus Versfeld against AmaZulu on Friday.
Masandawana headed into the match with an MTN8 penalty shootout win against rivals Kaizer Chiefs last weekend.

Chippa United beat Sekhukhune United 1-0 in a DStv Premiership clash at the Makhulong Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The only goal was scored by Veluyeke Zulu early in the first half as Gavin Hunt got off to a winning start in charge of the Chilli Boys.
Orlando Pirates 2-2 Stellenbosch FC - MATCH REPORT
It was honours even at Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon as 10-man Orlando Pirates played to a 2-2 draw against Stellenbosch FC in their Premiership opener.
The visitors claimed the lead after just two minutes thanks to Waseem Isaacs but Pirates were back on level terms in the 18th minute after a deflected free-kick from Deon Hotto. Ntsikelelo Nyauza was controversially handed his marching orders in the latter stages of the first half after an apparent elbow on Ashley Du Preez, setting up an intriguing second half.
Pirates would claim the lead early in the second half through debutant Goodman Mosele, only for Judas Moseamedi to level matters in the 55th minute. And, with neither side able to force another breakthrough in the final stretch, the scores would remain locked at 2-2.
Golden Arrows 2-1 Maritzburg United
Golden Arrows beat neighbours Maritzburg United 2-1 in the DStv Premiership on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.
All the goals were scored in the second half by Siboniso Conco and Siphamandla Sabelo while Leletu Skelem scored for United.
Baroka FC 2-0 Marumo Gallants
Baroka FC made a winning start to their 2021/22 campaign as first-half goals from Manuel Kambala and Evidence Makgopa secured a 2-0 victory over Marumo Gallants at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.
Cape Town City 0-0 SuperSport United
Cape Town City and SuperSport United had to settle for a share of the spoils after playing to a goalless draw in their Premiership opener at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
The match was an action-packed affair with both teams creating a whole host of chances to break the deadlock but to no avail.
