Mumbai reports 322 new Covid-19 cases, six deaths

MUMBAI: Mumbai witnessed a spike in Covid-19 cases on Friday reporting over 300 cases. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that Mumbai city logged 322 Covid-19 cases today, taking the overall tally to 7,40,612.
As many as 223 people were discharged from hospitals post-recovery today. The total number of positive patients recovered and discharged till date stands at 7,19,381.
Also, six people succumbed to the infection on Friday. Amongst the six deceased, three had co-morbidities. The death toll reached 15,941.
The recovery rate in Mumbai is 97 per cent. The doubling rate is 2,052 days.
Presently, there are no active containment zones in Mumbai. The civic body has sealed off 24 buildings to contain the spread of the virus.
