Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 10.72 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 3.30 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 2.00 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.65 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 1.50 crore), NALCO (number of shares traded: 1.25 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 1.10 crore), Zomato Ltd. (number of shares traded: 1.10 crore), BHEL (number of shares traded: 1.07 crore) and PNB (number of shares traded: 0.92 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 109.9 points down at 16458.95, while BSE Sensex was down 297.33 points at 55332.16 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Asian Paints Ltd. (up 1.28 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 1.02 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.00 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 0.70 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (up 0.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 4.49 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 4.46 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 4.28 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 2.96 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd. (down 2.15 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
