U.K. approves antibody treatment cocktail for COVID-19

The U.K. Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency on Friday said it's given approval for the first monoclonal antibody treatment for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Ronapreve, made by Regeneron REGN, +3.16% and Roche ROG, -1.01%, may be used to prevent infection, promote resolution of symptoms of acute COVID-19 infection and reduce hospitalization, the regulator said. AstraZeneca AZN, -0.42% separately on Friday said it would seek regulatory approval for its antibody cocktail treating COVID-19.
