The individual who broke the Covid rules earlier this month is said to be a vulnerable person who has been diagnosed with autism.
The supporter reportedly tested negative on the night of each breach, but those who were sat in the same stand have been made aware of the issue.
Cambridge United released a statement on their website following the decision to ban the individual, saying that they will judge each Covid breach on a case-by-case basis.
The club also reaffirmed their commitment to providing a safe environment for their supporters and reminded fans of their responsibility to 'protect themselves and others whilst the threat of Covid-19 continues to exist.'
