Thane city reports 53 new Covid-19 cases

THANE: Thane city on Friday reported 53 new Covid-19 cases, taking the overall case count to 1,36,760.
Two people with co-morbidities also succumbed to the virus. Till date, 2,077 people from the city have died due to the virus.
During the day, 49 people were discharged. So far, 1,34,195 people have recovered.
Now, lake city is left with 488 active cases.
While the recovery rate is 98.12 per cent, the doubling rate is 2,278.
Among the new cases, 13 people tested positive in Kalwa, followed by nine in Naupada-Kopri, eight in Majiwada-Manpada, six in Uthalsar, four each in Diva and Lokmanya-Savarkar Nagar, three in Vartak Nagar and one in Mumbra.
Three cases were found out of Thane city jurisdiction.
