Not part of cease work strike, says MDEA

Imphal, August 19 2021: Medical Department Employees' Association (MDEA) has clarified that it has neither passed any resolution to support or join the cease work strike launched by Manipur Government Services Federation, nor has it been intimated for joining or supporting the cease work strike from amongst the individual organisations under the Department of Health Services.

In a release, MDEA general secretary Rajkumar Basumani Singh stated that if any of the individual association/organisation under the Department of Health Services joined the cease work strike, it is not related with MDEA and if so, it might be in their own individual interest.

However, the demand for payment of the DA/DR to the state government employees and pensioners at the rate compatible to those enjoyed by the the central government employees and pensioners is justified, the secretay asserted and also demanded the government to issue relevant orders for payment of pending DA/DR to the employees and pensioners for the Covid-19 pandemic.
